Why Colorbond

Why Homeowners Choose Colorbond Fencing

Colorbond is the most common request at Ridgeback Fences — and for good reason. It’s a fence-and-forget product when it’s installed properly, with a finish that suits modern Sunshine Coast homes.

Durable steel

Pre-painted COLORBOND® steel stands up to coastal sun, salt and wind better than most fencing options on the market.

Low maintenance

A hose-down a few times a year is usually all it needs. No oiling, no staining, no constant re-painting.

Strong privacy

Full-height interlocking panels mean no gaps, no see-through joins, and a clean line right along the boundary.

Clean modern look

Crisp panels and straight posts lift street appeal and finish off landscaping and paving properly.

Matching gates

Pedestrian and double gates built from the same Colorbond range — colour-matched and hung on quality hardware.

Works with sleeper plinths

Hardwood sleeper plinths along the base handle sloped or uneven ground and add a sharp finished look.

Long-term value

A Colorbond fence done properly is a one-time job for most homeowners — not something you’ll re-do in five years.

30-year warranty

Backed by the BlueScope 30-year warranty on the Colorbond steel itself when installed to spec.

  6. 06

    Final 40% at job completion

Built around your property

Colorbond Fencing for the Way Your Property Works

Privacy from neighbours

Solid Colorbond panels eliminate the gaps and sight lines of older paling or chain-style fencing.

Secure boundary fencing

Full-height runs along the boundary make the property line clear and harder to slip through.

Pet-friendly yards

No gaps under the panels with a sleeper plinth, and gate hardware that latches reliably.

Sloped blocks

Stepped panel runs and sleeper plinths handle slopes without compromising the look or seal.

Gate access

Pedestrian gates for side access and double gates for trailer, boat or mower access.

Cleaner street appeal

A new Colorbond front fence visibly lifts the front of the home and complements landscaping.

Replacing old timber fencing

Remove the old timber, dispose of it, and replace with a longer-lasting Colorbond run.

Weather-damaged fencing

Replace storm-damaged or leaning fencing with steel that handles coastal conditions better.
